Dr. Swapneel Nilkanth Patil is the Consultant Obstetrician at Fetal Medicine Unit, CIMAR Edappal since 2015. The Fetal Medicine Unit deals with 1500-2000 deliveries annually, of which over 30 % are high risk pregnancies. The centre has been recognized by the National Board to impart Fellowship in high risk pregnancy and perinatology, the third such institute in India and the first in Kerala.
