Fetoscopic laser surgery is a minimally invasive procedure performed through a 2 to 3 mm incision under anesthesia. With a 1 to 3 mm endoscope, specialists coagulate all anastomoses using laser energy. It is the preferred technique for TTTS in MCDA twins between 16 and 26 weeks, where expectant management invariably leads to the loss of both twins.
