In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) is the most effective ART, and is often used when the woman’s fallopian tubes are damaged or in cases of very low semen parameters and when other treatment modalities fail as in unexplained infertility. In the process of In vitro fertilisation, matured eggs taken from a woman are placed in a dish with the husband’s sperm and allowed to fertilize. After 3-5 days, healthy embryos are transferred to the woman’s uterus. In IVF-ICSI treatment, hospital stay is not required. The couple only need to come to hospital for scanning and hormone estimation for about 7-8 times. THERE IS NO SURGERY IN IVF-ICSI TREATMENT
